The smell of race fuel hung heavy in the cool evening air, engine pitch hit maximum volume, and red dirt flew high into the floodlights. It was another explosive night of dirt track racing at Thunder City Speedway, bringing raw speed, wheel-to-wheel battles, and unforgettable moments across six fierce divisions.

Chaschuk Dominates, Simpson Charges in WISSOTA Modifieds

The Thunder Bay Truck Centre WISSOTA Modifieds delivered pure edge-of-your-seat intensity during their 20-lap main event. Colin Chaschuk (#621) showcased masterful car control, hitting every mark perfectly to command the pack and take home a convincing victory. Tanner Henderson (#40) pressured relentlessly to capture second, while Cole Chernosky (#33C) rounded out a hard-earned podium finish.

Drive of the night undoubtedly went to David Simpson (#70). After starting deep in 16th position due to heat race troubles, Simpson carved through heavy traffic with surgeon-like precision, slicing all the way up to a staggering 5th-place finish!

Midwest Mods Pack the House: Simpson Tames 38-Car Field

With a massive 38-car entry list filling the pits, the Itec 2000 WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds provided bumper-to-bumper drama from heat races through to the checkered flag. In the 20-lap Feature, David Simpson (#70) proved untouchable, holding off relentless pressure from Michael Shalley (#8X) and Curtis Stieh (#32C) to claim the crown.

Chernosky Tops Super Stocks; Randt Steals Street Stock Glory

In the Mezo Motors & Machine WISSOTA Super Stock division, Cole Chernosky (#33C) set the pace early from the front row, outpowering David Simpson (#70) and Nathan Roy (#22R) in a thrilling duel to claim a well-deserved feature win.

Meanwhile, 30 grass-roots heavyweights lined up for the Mastrangelos Fuels WISSOTA Street Stocks. Levi Randt (#11) drove a tactical masterpiece, breaking through the pack to secure victory ahead of AJ Kellar (#54X) and Darren Wolframe (#96W).

⚡ Grassroots & Rising Stars Showcase

In the Tractor Trailer WISSOTA Hornets, Jesse Owen (#22) out-drove an 18-car grid in a wild 12-lap duel ahead of Selena Owen (#34). The future of local dirt racing showed up strong in the Junior Slingshots, where Kruze King (#19K) captured feature glory over Trip Wolframe (#96JR).
